Delivered and Archived Extension Statuses

After an extension is delivered to a client, it moves to the Extensions Report page. Its status is shown in the Status column and reflects whether the delivery was successful or where the extentions is in the signing or review process.

When an extension is archived by a user, it moves to the Archived Extensions page, but the statuses are identical to the Delivered Extensions page. See the entries below for more information. 

Status Description
Alternate Delivery

The extension was downloaded as a PDF by a user.

In the Finish pop-up, users can choose to Download to PDF as a delivery option.

Awaiting E-Sign

An extension was delivered to a client but no signers have completed the signature process.

Awaiting Review

An extension was delivered to the client as "Review Only". The client has not reviewed the extension yet. 

Awaiting Upload

The extension is set to be manually signed and the taxpayer has not uploaded their signed documents yet.

Delivered to TaxCaddy

An extension was delivered to TaxCaddy for e-signing. SafeSend Extensions will not track or display any further changes to the extension.

This status is only used when a client has an integration with TaxCaddy. For more information, see Setting up TaxCaddy with SafeSend Returns.

E-Signed

The extension was e-signed by all clients.

Manually Signed

The extension status was changed by a user in the firm. This status can only be applied by using the global Change Status button.

Partially Reviewed

An extension was delivered to the clients as "Review Only". The extension has been reviewed by one taxpayer, but not the other.

Note: This status only applies to extensions that are marked as married and filing jointly.

Partially Signed

The extension has been signed by one taxpayer.

Note: This status only applies to extensions that are marked as married and filing jointly.

Reviewed

An extension was delivered to the client as "Review Only". The client has reviewed the extension. 

Signature Stamping Failed

An error occurred and the signature was not recorded. The extension will need to be recalled and redelivered. 

Signed & E-Signed

The extension status was changed by a user in the firm. This status can only be applied by using the global Change Status button when one taxpayer has e-signed and the other has manually signed.

Note: This status only applies to extensions that are marked as married and filing jointly.

When one taxpayer has e-signed, the e-file authorization can be downloaded for that signer.

TaxCaddy Delivery Failed

An extension sent to TaxCaddy for e-signing could not be delivered.

This status is only used when a client has an integration with TaxCaddy. For more information, see Setting up TaxCaddy with SafeSend Returns.

Uploaded

A taxpayer has uploaded manually signed documents.
